My Viral Christmas Tree Cake Cheesecake ๐ŸŽ„ (the full recipe, finally!)

Hey Pretty! ๐Ÿฉท

Heads-up: tomorrow is National Pumpkin Cheesecake Day. And I have a confession.

I’m not a pumpkin cheesecake girl. In OCTOBER. I know. ๐Ÿ˜‚

But I DO have a cheesecake that deserves its own national day โ€” the Little Debbie Christmas Tree Cake cheesecake. Yes, THOSE Christmas Tree Cakes. It should not work, and yet โ€” it has an actual hold on my group chat. ๐ŸŽ„

I made it last year. I’m making it again this year. And after my Food Lion Christmas Tree Cake sighting had y’all coming at me FAST, I promised you the recipe โ€” so here it is. The whole thing. No gatekeeping, because that’s not how we do things around here. ๐Ÿฉท

One thing you need to know before we start: this is my favorite base cheesecake recipe โ€” the one I always start with. You can add any mix-ins you love, but always start with this as your base and you’ll never go wrong. ๐Ÿฉท

Viral Little Debbie’s Christmas Tree Cake Cheesecake

Crust:

  • 25 golden Oreos, crushed
  • 1 stick salted butter, melted
  • Press into a greased 9-inch springform pan
  • Bake at 325ยฐ for 10 minutes

Cheesecake:

  • 4 bricks cream cheese, softened
  • 1/2 sour cream, room temperature (yes โ€” that’s exactly how my recipe card says it, because I wrote it like a menace ๐Ÿ˜‚)
  • 4 eggs, room temperature
  • 1 cup heavy whipping cream, room temperature
  • 1 cup sugar
  • 2 Tbsp all-purpose flour
  • 1 tsp vanilla

Assembly:

  1. Mix cheesecake ingredients until well blended.
  2. Add half the cream cheese mixture to the baked crust.
  3. Put a layer of Christmas Tree Cakes on top.
  4. Cover with the remaining cheesecake mix.
  5. Bake at 325ยฐ for 60โ€“70 minutes.
  6. Decorate with cookie icing and sprinkles.

A few pretty-girl cheesecake rules (nothing fussy, I promise):

  • Cheesecake is BETTER made a day ahead โ€” it needs that overnight chill. Congratulations, this is officially a make-ahead dessert. ๐Ÿ˜
  • Room-temp ingredients aren’t a suggestion. Cold cream cheese = lumpy cheesecake, and nobody wants lumpy cheesecake.
  • It keeps covered in the fridge for days โ€” in theory. In practice it will not survive the weekend. ๐Ÿ˜‚
